Farm Fresh - Time Is Running Out Release date: March 15, 2005 In 1994, Peanuts & Corn records was founded to release the debut cassette by Brandon Manitoba’s Farm Fresh. It immediately received attention for both the group and the label, and Peanuts & Corn went on to become one of the world’s most trusted indie hip-hop labels. In the years that followed, the members of Farm Fresh became mcenroe, Pip Skid and DJ Hunnicutt, and they continued to work together. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of P&C, its three founding members decided to head back out to western Manitoba and begin writing and producing as Farm Fresh. They spent a few weeks in their hometown of Brandon, Manitoba, writing tracks both serious and light, from the decay of downtown Brandon (Downtown), the aging club scene (30 in the club), as well as hype, high energy wordplay (Fresh As That, Read All About It). While capturing the enegy of Farm Fresh from the mid-90’s, this album has a very current sound. Lyrically this is a progression from the mcenroe and Pip Skid that has established them among Canada’s finest, and the production is handled by both mcenroe and Hunnicutt.
